Sarah is an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist working within the NHS and private sectors for over 20 years, with a special interest in Hand Therapy and First Contact Physiotherapy. Sarah currently practices within the NHS as a First Contact Physiotherapist in Primary Care, working as part of an exciting and dynamic team in Essex. Sarah is a member of the British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT) and an Accredited Hand Therapist. Teaching within Higher Education has enabled sharing of her specialist knowledge and skills, supporting postgraduate Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists to advance their practice, she leads the MSc in Musculoskeletal Assessment and Practice – Hand Therapy and contributes to various MSc pathways and modules including the First Contact Physiotherapy.

Sarah is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and passionate about supporting students to utilise research evidence to inform and impact their clinical practice. Sarah's research interests include first contact physiotherapy and rheumatology, she is currently undertaking studies for a Professional Doctorate in Physiotherapy.
