Last night, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited the injured at the Sheikh Shakhbout Medical Centr in Abu Dhabi, saying that they were his responsibility. He also made a promise to the expats and citizens that the UAE would defend them.

At the hospital, he was seen holding the hands of the injured, hugging them and speaking reassuringly to them and their families. He said that the country would bounce back from this with more resilience.

On Saturday, the eighth day of the US-Israel-Iran war, it was revealed that the UAE air defences detected 16 ballistic missiles and 121 drones. Fifteen ballistic missiles were destroyed, while one ballistic missile fell into the sea. Out of the 121 drones detected, 119 were intercepted, while two drones fell within the UAE's territories.

Earlier today, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian apologised to neighbouring countries and said that more attacks would not be launched against them unless attacks are launched from them.

On Sunday, UAE residents in several parts of the country received emergency alert - some twice in three hours - warning them of a 'potential missile threat' and advising them to seek 'safe place'.
