Poland Restricts Air Traffic Along Border With Ukraine And Belarus Until June 9


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This was announced by PANSA spokesman Marcin Hadaj on Polish Radio, according to Ukrinform.

The rules will apply along the borders with Belarus and Ukraine.

“The restrictions we are talking about will apply to three kilometers from the ground. And it will cover all aircraft, including unmanned ones,” Hadaj said, adding that the new rules do not apply to passenger planes flying at higher altitudes.

The ban will be extended from March 10 and will last until June 9. The decision to impose the ban was made for national security reasons.

As reported by Ukrinform, in early February, a UAV of unknown origin crashed on the territory of the 1st Air Cavalry Battalion of the Polish Armed Forces, located in the village of Leźnica Wielka in the Łódź Province (central Poland).
