Bill Clinton Faces Questioning in Probe Tied to Jeffrey Epstein

(MENAFN) Former US President Bill Clinton appeared for questioning on Friday as part of a congressional inquiry examining a sex trafficking operation allegedly organized by the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Records indicate that Epstein visited the White House 17 times between 1993 and 1995, during Clinton’s presidency. Flight manifests further suggest that the former president traveled aboard Epstein’s private aircraft—commonly referred to as the ‘Lolita Express’—as many as 26 times from 2001 to 2003.

Clinton’s testimony before the House Oversight Committee followed nearly seven hours of questioning involving his wife, Hillary Clinton, a day earlier. After her appearance, Committee Chairman James Comer told reporters he anticipated the former president’s deposition “will last even longer.”

“We have a lot of questions for her husband tomorrow,” Comer said, pointing out that Hillary Clinton had replied with “I don’t know, you’ll have to ask my husband” more than a dozen times during her session.

In a prepared statement released ahead of his closed-door testimony, Clinton maintained that he “saw nothing, and did nothing wrong.” While documentation shows numerous flights on Epstein’s jet, he described his association with the financier as “brief.”

Recently disclosed Justice Department materials include photographs depicting Clinton alongside Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking and related crimes. Among the images is one undated photograph showing Clinton seated in a hot tub beside an individual whose face has been obscured, as well as another capturing him swimming at night with Maxwell.
