Explosions Reported in Iran’s Tehran, Karaj

(MENAFN) Explosions thundered overnight across Iran's capital Tehran and the neighboring city of Karaj, Iranian media reported in the early hours of Monday, as the relentless joint US-Israeli military offensive against the Islamic Republic shows no signs of abating.

A news agency reported that airstrikes had simultaneously struck Isfahan, Yazd, and Khuzestan, dramatically widening the campaign's reach across multiple provinces and signaling a broad, coordinated effort to degrade Iranian infrastructure on several fronts at once.

The strikes form part of the sweeping joint US-Israeli military campaign launched Saturday, which has already eliminated several of Iran's most senior officials — among them Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Tehran has answered with successive waves of drone and missile attacks targeting Gulf nations in retaliation.

The human toll from the escalating conflict continues to grow. Three US service members have been confirmed killed and five others seriously wounded, according to initial reports, as combat operations stretch into their third consecutive day with no ceasefire in sight.
