Israeli Occupation Launches Airstrikes On Various Areas S.Lebanon
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA))
BEIRUT, March 2 (KUNA) -- Warplanes of the Israeli occupation army on Monday began carrying out airstrikes on several towns south of the Litani River, particularly those previously threatened earlier.
Lebanon's National News Agency said strikes hit Marounah in Tyre, Qalawiya, Qana and Hadatha in Bint Jbeil, Tirdibba outskirts, Taybeh-Qantara road in Marjayoun, the Litani River near Tair Filsay, and Bazouriyeh's central square area there.
Amid renewed escalation in Lebanon, UN Special Coordinator Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert wrote on X that restraint shows wisdom, warning against risking the country's stability or future amidst ongoing tensions.
Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health announced that the preliminary toll from the Israeli occupation airstrikes on southern Lebanon and Beirut's southern suburbs at dawn reached 31 killed and 149 injured. (end)
