During the summoning of the Iranian ambassador, Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, expressed the UAE's categorical rejection of any justifications by the Iranian government for the aggressive escalation targeting civilian sites, including residential areas, airports, ports, and service facilities.
The ministry said these strikes endangered innocent civilians in an irresponsible escalation that ignored the UAE's clear position. The protest note affirmed it would not allow the UAE's territory to be used in any military operation against Iran.
Al Marar stressed that these attacks are contrary to the principles of good neighbourliness and the Charter of the United Nations. They undermine the path of de-escalation and peaceful solutions adopted by the UAE towards Iran. He warned of serious repercussions on bilateral relations that will directly impact all political, economic, and trade levels.
He stressed the UAE's demand for respect for its sovereignty and an immediate, unconditional cessation of these attacks.
