EU Chief Expresses Europeآ's Full Solidarity With Kuwait

BRUSSELS, March 1 (KUNA) -- European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Sunday expressed Europeآ's full solidarity and support with Kuwait following the Iranian attacks that caused damage to Kuwait International Airport, describing the attacks as "unacceptable".
In a post on (X), von der Leyen said she expressed "Europeآ's full solidarity and support with Kuwait following Iranآ's unacceptable attacks on Saturday, which damaged the countryآ's international airport".
She underlined the urgent need to reduce tensions and to bring Iran onto a path of peaceful transition and diplomatic dialogue.
She stressed that "this is the only viable way to halt the downward spiral of violence and prevent further escalation," underscoring that Europe will continue to engage with international and regional partners to help restore stability in the Middle East. (end)
