Netanyahu Says Israel Will Keep Striking Iran Until Threat Is Eliminated

(MENAFN) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Saturday that the country’s military operations against Iran “will continue as long as necessary to ensure that Iran no longer poses a threat.”

In a live broadcast, he added that Israel “will strike thousands of targets in the coming days,” emphasizing that the Israeli army is ready for any retaliation from “Iranian proxies” in the region.

Netanyahu said that the current campaign is being carried out jointly by Israel and the United States, which he described as acting in full coordination.

He further claimed there are “increasing signs” that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is “gone,” asserting that the attacks have destroyed Khamenei’s compound and killed commanders of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.

Reports circulated by Israeli media on Saturday evening suggested that Khamenei had been killed in the joint attacks and that his body had been recovered. However, Iranian officials maintain that both the supreme leader and the president are “safe and sound,” asserting that “the enemy is resorting to mental warfare.”
