Qatar Intercepts 18 Ballistic Missiles: Defense Ministry

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Defense of the State of Qatar announced that due to the high level of readiness, security vigilance, and joint coordination among the relevant authorities, it has successfully continued to intercept a total of 18 ballistic missiles that targeted several areas across the country.

The announcement was published at 3am on March 1, 2026 by the ministry on its social media handles.

The Ministry affirms that the threat was addressed immediately upon detection, in accordance with pre-approved operational plans, and that all missiles were intercepted before reaching Qatari territory.

The Ministry further stressed that Qatar Armed Forces possess full capabilities and resources to safeguard the country's security and to respond firmly to any external threat, reiterating that the security situation remains stable and fully under control.

The Ministry also called upon citizens, residents, and visitors to remain reassured, to adhere to instructions issued by the security authorities, to refrain from spreading rumors, and to rely solely on official statements and information issued by competent authorities.
