Five New Lawyers Take Legal Oath Before Attorneys' Admission Committee

DOHA: The Attorneys' Admission Committee held its meeting chaired by Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi.

Five new lawyers took the legal oath before the committee after completing their required training period.

During the meeting, the committee discussed the items on its agenda, reviewed applications from several business owners to be registered on the rolls of practicing lawyers, and approved the registration of five trainee lawyers. It also reviewed applications to transfer the registration of four lawyers to the roll of practicing lawyers before the Court of Appeal.

In addition, the committee discussed several regulatory matters related to the legal profession, including the minutes of subcommittees and a proposal from the Attorney Affairs Department regarding the regulations for pleading a case. The committee made the necessary decisions to strengthen the regulatory framework for practicing the profession.

During the meeting, the Minister of Justice reiterated the Attorneys' Admission Committee's commitment to providing a supportive legal environment that enables lawyers to fulfil their professional mission of serving justice and strengthening the legal system in the country, emphasising the importance of adhering to training programmes and honing legal skills to enhance the profession's performance and solidify its professional standards.
