Pakistan Bombs Military Facilities In Kabul Under“Operation Ghazab-Ul-Haq”
- Haq” targeted sites in Kabul and eastern Afghanistan following cross-border tensions.Pakistan's military said it launched air operations under the name“Ghazab
- Haq,” targeting Taliban military facilities in multiple Afghan provinces.
According to Geo News, the strikes were carried out in response to what Pakistan described as“unprovoked aggression” along the border. The report said a large ammunition depot in Nangarhar province was destroyed, and operations against additional targets were ongoing.
Citing security sources, Geo News reported that facilities in Kabul, Kandahar and Paktia were also hit during the air campaign.
The report further stated that Pakistani forces targeted several positions in the Kurram region and killed eight Taliban fighters there. Overall, Pakistani officials claimed that about 44 Taliban members had been killed in the operation so far.
Pakistan said the airstrikes were a direct response to actions by Afghan Taliban forces along the frontier and indicated that aerial operations were continuing.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed that Taliban forces killed 40 Pakistani soldiers and captured multiple military posts during recent clashes along the Durand Line. He described the operation as a response to what he called cross-border aggression.
The escalation has sharply increased tensions between Kabul and Islamabad, with both sides accusing each other of initiating hostilities. Reports of airstrikes, heavy weapons use, and mounting casualties have raised fears of a broader military confrontation along the volatile frontier.
Meanwhile, Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, warned that while the conflict may have been started by Afghan authorities, Pakistan would ultimately decide how it ends, signaling the possibility of further military action.
