Moscow: Russia on Thursday denied setting any final timeline for settling with Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow has specific objectives it is working to accomplish, stressing that Russia is not setting a deadline for settling with Ukraine, but rather focusing on tasks that must be completed.

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that attempting to define or predict a specific stage for a settlement in Ukraine at this time would be a major mistake, noting that all parties, including US negotiators, continue their work.

He reiterated that it would be a serious error to try to outline any phase or speculate about developments regarding a potential settlement, adding that Moscow does not intend, at present, to disclose details about the substance of the negotiations.

The latest round of talks between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine was held in Geneva on February 17 and 18. Following the discussions, Head of the Russian delegation and aide to Russian President Vladimir Medinsky, announced that a new meeting would be held soon.
