Dutch Airline KLM Suspends Flights To Tel Aviv Starting March 1


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Dutch airline KLM said that it is temporarily suspending flights between Amsterdam and Tel Aviv as of March 1, according to a company statement on Wednesday.

KLM, the Dutch arm of airline group Air France KLM, said it was not "commercially or operationally feasible" for the airline to operate flights to Tel Aviv.

The move comes amid rising tensions between the United States and Iran over Tehran's nuclear programme. Talks between the two countries will resume in Geneva on Thursday.

On February 1, the Dutch airline resumed its operations to Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia after previously announcing it would avoid flying over large parts of the Middle East due to rising regional tensions.
