Iran Summons German Ambassador Over Hostile Actions in Germany

(MENAFN) The Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the German ambassador on Tuesday to formally protest what it described as hostile activities directed against Iran in Germany, according to reports.

Ambassador Axel Dittmann was called in following a series of anti-Iran actions and statements by German officials, which Tehran characterized as “destructive and illegal.” The ministry emphasized that these actions are inconsistent with the fundamental principles of international law and violate the UN Charter.

Officials reportedly conveyed to Dittmann that such measures strain diplomatic relations and are unacceptable under international norms. The ambassador responded that he would communicate Iran’s strong objections and dissatisfaction to the German government in Berlin.

This diplomatic summons reflects ongoing tensions between Tehran and European nations over political activities and public positions that Iran perceives as hostile or undermining its sovereignty.
