Pope Leo XIV Sends 80 Generators, Medicines To Ukraine
In doing so, the Pontiff responded to calls from numerous bishops around the world who are aware of the suffering of people due to the consequences of the war and the hardships caused by freezing temperatures amid the deliberate destruction of energy infrastructure.
The aid, which departed from the Basilica of Saint Sophia in Rome, has already arrived at its destinations in Fastiv and Kyiv, which were particularly affected by recent attacks.
Alongside the generators, thousands of medicines have been sent to Ukraine, including antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, supplements and melatonin, which is especially in demand as it helps people sleep amid ongoing fear and constant stress.
