T20 World Cup 2026 Starts Today: Google Doodle Celebrates Beginning Of Cricket Tournament In India

From chart-topping hip-hop to classical and experimental sounds, the ceremony starting at 6:00 PM will be a powerful musical medley by renowned artists. At Mumbai's iconic Wankhede Stadium, rapper Badshah, actor and performer Nora Fatehi, neo-classical sitar exponent Rishab Rikhiram Sharma and celebrated percussionist Sivamani will take the spotlight during the dazzling opening ceremony ahead of India vs USA opener.

As the anticipation for the most exciting event kicks off, India, placed in Group A, will begin their World Cup campaign against the USA today. India will also face arch-rivals Pakistan, Namibia and the Netherlands in the group stage.
