Dr Elmira Jamei is an internationally recognised researcher, educator, and leader in sustainable urban design and climate-responsive built environments. She currently serves as the Associate Director of Research Engagement and Impact at the Institute for Sustainable Industries and Liveable Cities (ISILC), Victoria University (Melbourne), where she drives research excellence and fosters cross-sector collaborations that deliver tangible benefits to communities and industries.
As a Lead Author of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Elmira has worked closely with local and state governments, international partners, and universities to co-develop innovative, evidence-based solutions for climate change mitigation, liveability, and sustainable infrastructure. With extensive academic and industry experience across Australia, Asia, and the Middle East, Elmira has led and contributed to a range of high-impact, cross-cultural research initiatives.
