Fedorov Rules Out Mass Installation Of Anti-Drone Nets In Zaporizhzhia, More Effective Methods Available

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This was announced at a briefing by the Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

"There are more effective ways to combat Molniyas [Russian Molniya UCAVs] than installing anti-drone nets. Dozens of Molniya drones can be shot down in a day, sometimes closer to a hundred, and a large number are jammed by electronic warfare," Fedorov said.

He added that anti-drone tunnels are large-scale structures designed to protect microdistricts in the city, and such nets must be installed near each entrance, which can block entrances and passageways.

According to the Head of the Regional Military Administration, the effectiveness of anti-drone nets on a city-wide scale may be questionable in this case.

As reported, the Air Defense Forces destroy about 50% of Shahed-type drones approaching the city.
