Israel Renews Violations for Gaza Ceasefire

(MENAFN) Israeli forces carried out a series of air raids, artillery strikes, and demolition activities across several parts of the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, despite an ongoing ceasefire agreement that has been in place since Oct. 10, 2025, according to local accounts.

Reports from residents and eyewitnesses said powerful blasts were heard in the northern town of Jabalia after Israeli troops conducted demolition operations in areas that remain under military occupation. At least two major explosions were reported in those locations.

In Gaza City, artillery fire struck eastern districts, while armored vehicles positioned east of the city reportedly fired machine guns toward nearby areas, as stated by local sources.

Further south, warplanes were said to have hit three unoccupied residential buildings in central Gaza, targeting zones east of Deir al-Balah that remain under Israeli control.

Separately, witnesses reported additional airstrikes in southern Gaza, where areas east of Khan Younis were hit amid simultaneous artillery shelling, gunfire from military vehicles, and helicopter attacks in the same vicinity.

No immediate injuries or fatalities were reported following the latest incidents.

According to cumulative figures cited by reports, repeated violations of the ceasefire since its implementation have resulted in the deaths of 486 Palestinians and injuries to 1,341 others.

The truce brought an end to the war that began on Oct. 8, 2023, which continued for two years and caused devastating human and material losses. More than 71,000 people were killed and around 171,000 wounded, while approximately 90% of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure was damaged or destroyed. International assessments have estimated reconstruction costs at roughly $70 billion.
