Oman: Man Arrested For Murder Legal Procedures Underway
A man of African nationality was arrested in Oman for committing murder, the Sultanate's Royal Police said on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. In a brief statement, the police force revealed the circumstances behind the crime.
Further investigations carried out by the force showed that both the murderer and the person he killed were working illegally at a farm in North Batinah Governorate, and the victim was of the same African nationality.

In July, a Bangladeshi national was arrested in Omna in connection with the fatal stabbing of a fellow countryman in the Wilayat of Sur. The arrest was carried out by the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police Command following reports of the incident.
