Jeddah Airport Handles Record 53+ Million Passengers In 2025
Dhaka: King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah has accommodated more than 53.4 million passengers in 2025, the highest number for any Saudi Arabian airport in a year.
Apart from passenger traffic, the airport operated a total of 310,000 flights in 2025, including 2,968 freighter flights. The total number of baggage handled was 60.4 million, a 12% increase from 2024. Additionally, it processed 9.57 million bottles of Zamzam water.
The achievements have been highlighted as the airport's transformative development and its role as a regional hub and national gateway for the kingdom, underscoring its significance in facilitating the movement of visitors and pilgrims and promoting tourism in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
Jeddah Airports Company CEO Eng. Mazen Johar said the achievements demonstrated the airport's high operational readiness and represent a pivotal milestone as it prepares to potentially double this number in the coming years.
King Abdulaziz International Airport is a major international airport serving the cities of Jeddah and Mecca in Saudi Arabia. The airport features three parallel runways and four terminals, covering an area of 112 square kilometers.
The airport serves as the primary gateway for pilgrims arriving during the Hajj pilgrimage. It is the busiest airport in Saudi Arabia and one of the busiest airports in the Middle East.
