Pakistan's Goodwill Tested: WFP Food Aid Held At Afghan Border
Eight containers of food aid for Afghanistan are still waiting at the Torkham border. This aid is being sent under the World Food Programme (WFP).
According to official sources, Afghan authorities have not yet allowed these containers to enter Afghanistan, causing delays in the delivery of aid.
Sources say the lack of permission is affecting food supplies, and transporters are also facing difficulties due to the vehicles waiting at the border.
Officials said the aid will be sent to Afghanistan as soon as permission is granted, but so far there has been no final progress.
This step is being seen as a reflection of Pakistan's policy of humanitarian support, cooperation, and goodwill in the region.
