(MENAFN) A violent assault at a manufacturing facility in central Japan left fifteen workers wounded Friday, with approximately five or six victims sustaining stab injuries, a news agency reported.
The attack unfolded at a Yokohama rubber production plant located in Mishima within the Shizuoka region, according to local officials.
Authorities stated that an emergency call "was received around 4.30 pm (0730GMT) … that five or six people had been stabbed at a Yokohama rubber factory in Mishima."
All injured individuals remained conscious following the incident, officials confirmed.
Law enforcement arrested 38-year-old Masaki Oyama on attempted murder charges in connection with the workplace violence.
