(MENAFN) Ukrainian authorities confirmed Saturday that a Russian airstrike on Kyiv left one person dead and 19 others wounded, marking the latest escalation in aerial bombardments targeting the capital.
Regional military administration chief Mykola Kalashnik announced via Telegram that a woman perished in the Bila Tserkva district assault, which also injured 10 individuals, including two children.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko issued a separate statement reporting at least 19 people were injured, and 11 of them were hospitalized.
Ukrainian media outlets documented that Russia executed a large-scale air offensive overnight, deploying both drones and missiles across the capital region.
The bombardment inflicted significant damage on multiple high-rise apartment complexes, private homes, an educational institution's dormitory, and critical infrastructure across several Kyiv districts.
