Morocco, Iraq Greenlight Brazilian Hay
Morocco is an importer of agricultural products from Brazil, as is Iraq. Sales from Brazil to Morocco amounted to USD 1.1 billion from January to November of this year, driven by sugar, corn, livestock, pepper, and beef. Sales to Iraq reached USD 1.3 billion, driven by sugar, poultry, soy, livestock, and corn.
The Mapa said the clearing of imports is the result of tandem work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and that, including Morocco and Iraq, 525 markets have greenlit Brazilian agricultural products since the beginning of 2023.
