Gold Prices Climb To New Record On Safe-Haven Demand


(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Gold surged to an all-time high in early Asian trading on Friday, supported by strong safe-haven buying and growing expectations of further interest-rate cuts by the U.S. Federal Reserve, Reuters reported.

Spot gold was up 0.5% at $4,501.44 per ounce at 0209 GMT, after earlier reaching a record $4,530.60 during the session.
