Bahrain's King Awards Wisam Al-Bahrain To Kuwaiti Poet Bader Bouresli

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA, Dec 17 (KUNA) -- Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa awarded the Order of Bahrain (Wisam Al-Bahrain) to Kuwaiti poet Bader Bouresli in recognition of his contributions to writing Bahraini national songs that express sincere sentiments, which embody love and pride for Bahrain and its history.
This took place during a ceremony held at Al-Sakhir Palace on Tuesday to celebrate Bahrain's National Day and the 26th anniversary of the King's accession to the throne, along with other national occasions.
During the ceremony, the King presented awards to a number of honorees in recognition of their distinguished contributions in various fields.
On his part, Bouresli expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for this royal gesture in a statement issued on Wednesday, emphasizing that this honor is a source of pride and reflects the high esteem in which Bahrain holds literature, culture, and the arts in all their forms.
Bouresli stated that his writing of poems and national songs for Bahrain stems from a deep sense of belonging, as he sees Bahrain and Kuwait as one nation bound by history, where the people of both countries share love and loyalty, and their feelings are united in joy and pride.
He pointed out that this royal honor, with its timing and significance, embodies the most beautiful examples of solidarity and love that unite the people of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
It expresses the unity of feelings among the Gulf peoples, especially as it comes during the GCC Summit currently chaired by Bahrain, and affirms that the GCC countries, both leadership and people, are a single entity united by history, shared values, and bound by love and loyalty. (end)
