Draft Resolution To Suspend Bezuhla From Five Parliamentary Sessions Registered In The Verkhovna Rada

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Draft No. 14312 was submitted by MP Liudmyla Buimister, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

“Yesterday, my brothers-in-arms, servicemen, approached me and instructed me to conduct a short 'educational conversation' in a military format with the woman who yesterday blocked the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. However, unfortunately, this is not how things work in parliament-the Verkhovna Rada may act only in a constitutional manner. Therefore, I request that a resolution be put forward for consideration and voting to deprive the Member of Parliament of the right to participate in plenary sessions for a period of five days. The resolution was registered yesterday,” Buimister said during a parliamentary session.

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk responded that the draft resolution must first be reviewed by the Committee on Rules of Procedure, Parliamentary Ethics and Administration of Verkhovna Rada's Work,“and only then will we be able to make a decision in the chamber.”

Ukrinform's interlocutors among MPs expressed doubts about the possibility of suspending Bezuhla from parliamentary sessions.

“This has happened before, more than once. All attempts ended unsuccessfully,” one parliamentarian noted.
