Susie Wiles confirms Trump’s name in Jeffrey Epstein files
(MENAFN) The White House chief of staff has acknowledged that Donald Trump’s name appears in files linked to Jeffrey Epstein, directly clashing with the US president’s repeated assertions that the documents are fabricated. Speaking in a recent interview, she stated that Trump is included in the records and described his past association with Epstein.
“We know he’s in the file,” she said, explaining that Trump had traveled on Epstein’s aircraft and appeared on flight documentation. She characterized their relationship by saying they were “sort of young, single playboys together.”
She also took aim at the attorney general’s handling of the Epstein-related materials, dismissing suggestions that explosive revelations were being concealed. “There is no client list, and it sure as hell wasn’t on her desk,” she said, casting doubt on claims that authorities are withholding key evidence.
The comments sparked swift political backlash, with party officials issuing statements in response. One representative argued that “even Donald Trump’s chief of staff can’t shield him from his Epstein nightmare,” accusing Trump of deceiving the public and failing to respond to growing demands for transparency and accountability surrounding the files.
Beyond the Epstein issue, the chief of staff offered an unusually blunt assessment of Trump’s leadership style. In the same interview, she said he has used the presidency for “score settling” and described him as having an “alcoholic’s personality.”
She also criticized several prominent figures close to Trump, labeling the vice president a “conspiracy theorist,” the budget director a “right-wing absolute zealot,” and a billionaire technology executive an “avowed ketamine” user. She further remarked that Trump’s trade policies had caused unexpected harm, saying his tariffs were “more painful than I expected.”
Despite these remarks, Trump publicly praised her only last week, saying: “She’s the great chief of staff. … Susie is the greatest.”
