Microgenesis INDIGIS Platform Enhances Real-Time Mission Planning For DRDO's Pralay Missile

(MENAFN- ForPressRelease) Bengaluru, India, 15 December 2025: MicroGenesis is proud to share that the INDIGIS geospatial platform has been selected for integration with the Defence Research and Development Organization's (DRDO) Pralay quasi-ballistic missile system to support real-time mission planning and launcher visualization.
This strategic decision marks a significant milestone in India's pursuit of technological self-reliance in defence software capabilities. As part of the integration, INDIGIS will provide missile battery commanders with a secure, offline-capable digital mapping environment to visualize launcher positions, missile types, real-time range rings, no-escape zones and other critical spatial data essential for precise mission planning. The implementation of INDIGIS replaces previously licensed foreign GIS engines, aligning with DRDO's mandate for a 100% indigenous, sovereign system with no external dependencies or cybersecurity risks.
Developed by the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), a DRDO laboratory, the INDIGIS platform was transferred to MicroGenesis Techsoft Pvt. Ltd. under a commercial Technology Transfer agreement, and subsequently customized for the unique operational requirements of the Pralay system.
"We are proud that INDIGIS has been entrusted with a mission-critical role within one of India's most advanced strategic assets," said Manoj Tharian, Managing Director of MicroGenesis Techsoft Pvt. Ltd. "This selection reflects not only our engineering excellence but also India's growing capability to innovate sovereign defence technologies."
Pralay is an indigenously developed, solid-propellant, short-range quasi-ballistic missile designed to deliver high-precision conventional strikes with a range of approximately 150 to 500 km and advanced guidance systems. The missile has undergone multiple successful flight tests and is slated for inducting into the Indian Armed Forces to strengthen tactical deterrence capabilities.
