School boy gets fatally stabbed at school in Moscow

(MENAFN) An 11-year-old boy was killed in a stabbing at a school in the Moscow Region, reportedly by a 15-year-old classmate, authorities confirmed. Footage of the incident, allegedly filmed by the attacker, shows him preparing for the assault in a washroom by donning tactical-style clothing and arming himself.

The video depicts the suspect moving through corridors, making self-directed disparaging remarks, and apparently searching for a specific classroom. He later attacked a security guard with pepper spray and a knife before chasing and fatally stabbing the younger student. Local officials confirmed the victim died at the scene and that the suspect was detained.

Media images suggest the attacker’s gear included a helmet and vest featuring extremist slogans—white supremacist, anti-Semitic, and Islamophobic—in Russian and English. One helmet bore a quote from the perpetrator of the 2015 Charleston church shooting, while a black vest displayed the phrase “No Lives Matter.” In the footage, the suspect is also heard questioning students about their ethnicity.

The video has been redacted and released for ethical reasons. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances and motivations behind the attack.
