IEA Leader Calls On Officials To Uphold Responsibilities, Justice, Serve People
KABUL (Pajhwok): The supreme leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has urged officials to carry out people's affairs on time, not to close doors on the public, not to discriminate between the rich and the poor, and stated that whoever is entrusted with a responsibility is individually obligated (fard 'ayn) to learn it and fully understand it.
Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the IEA, wrote on X that the supreme leader Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, participated in and delivered speeches at a three-day reformative and training seminar organized in Kandahar province for officials from various ministries.
Addressing the officials, he said:“When a responsibility is entrusted to you, recognize your authority. Each of you is responsible. You must understand what rights your subjects have over you and what rights you have over them. Whoever becomes engaged in a task is individually obligated to learn it and fully understand it. Do not create discord; obey one another; hold firmly to the religion of Allah Almighty; love one another and assist one another in your work. Give people glad tidings and do not make them hopeless; do not push them toward hatred.”
“Show mercy and compassion; carry out people's work on time and with sincerity; do not close doors to them; do not differentiate between the poor and the wealthy. In your work and decisions, give precedence to Sharia and do not give yourselves discretion against Sharia. Enjoin one another to truth and patience; practice enjoining good and forbidding evil among yourselves. Become a means of guidance and direction for the people so that future generations follow your path. Do not be negligent and do not occupy yourselves with purposeless matters and futile activities.”
He said that the best people are those who benefit others.
He added that the IEA holds the position of representation and guardianship of Muslims; it protects the religion and creed of Muslims, teaches people religion and Sharia, ensures people's security, and provides care for orphans, widows, the poor, and families without guardians.
According to him, the laws and decrees of the Islamic Emirate are not based on the opinion of a few individuals; rather, they are the religion of Allah Almighty and the entirety of Islamic rulings that call people to the religion of Allah.
He added:“The decrees of the Islamic Emirate are issued in two categories: one category concerns reverence for Allah Almighty and worship, including decrees related to prayers, fasting, and other acts of worship; the second category concerns mercy and compassion toward the creation of Allah Almighty, including assistance and cooperation with the people, migrants, the poor, the disabled, families without guardians, orphans, widows, and addicts. On this basis, the Islamic Emirate has established institutions to cooperate with the people and to serve them.”
He referred to the roles of the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs, orphanages, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, and the Afghan Red Crescent Society in serving the people in various fields, and added that in one decree the Islamic Emirate issued a special order to the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs to provide funds for the purchase of a vehicle for persons disabled with the loss of two limbs, and to grant benefits to the families of unmarried martyrs as well.
He said:“With regard to prisoners and detainees, the Islamic Emirate issued a decree at the outset that prisoners shall not be tortured or beaten, no torture shall be inflicted, and no one shall be punished without a court decision, because this is an Islamic system, and in an Islamic system the honor and dignity of every Muslim are protected. The Islamic Emirate has ordered prison directors to find teachers for them and to begin education for them, to educate prisoners and provide them with knowledge, and to organize prisons in the form of educational centers.”
Fitrat wrote:“In the end, all respected scholars and officials once again renewed their pledge of allegiance (bay'ah) to the esteemed Amir al-Mu'minin, may Allah Almighty protect him, and pledged that they are and will remain firm supporters of their Sharia-based system.”
