Aster DM Healthcare Partners With World Padel Academy (WPA) To Champion Health And Wellness Through Sport
(MENAFN- Mid-East Info) Aster DM Healthcare, one of the largest integrated healthcare providers in the GCC, has announced a strategic partnership with World Padel Academy (WPA), one of the region's leading destinations for padel enthusiasts. The collaboration aims to integrate health, wellness, recovery, nutrition, and sports to inspire healthier lifestyles, empower athletes, and build a community where well-being and performance thrive together.
Under this partnership, Medcare and Aster Pharmacy will become the official Health and Wellness Partners for the World Padel Academy. This partnership marks a first-of-its-kind collaboration where healthcare meets sports innovation, bridging preventive care, wellness solutions, and athletic performance enhancement within the WPA ecosystem. Padel is experiencing a significant and rapid surge in popularity across the UAE, driven by substantial investments in facilities, strong government support, and the sport's inclusive and social nature. With Dubai now home to more than 950 padel courts and nearly 300 clubs, the partnership reflects the city's growing passion for the game and highlights Aster DM Healthcare's commitment to supporting sports that promote health, fitness, and community well-being. The collaboration was officially inaugurated by senior representatives from both Aster DM Healthcare and World Padel Academy, marking the beginning of a shared journey toward fostering holistic wellness, athletic performance, and community engagement through sport. Aster will support WPA with on-call physiotherapy and rehabilitation services, and provide an exclusive wellness and sports nutrition offering. Additionally, it will extend its support to the WPA Junior Academy Open Days. Through this partnership, Aster DM Healthcare will provide a range of integrated health and wellness services, including on-call physiotherapy, rehabilitation and recovery services throughout the year, including during tournaments. In addition, bespoke services will be offered during social matches, monthly health screening campaigns, including an on-court Aster Pharmacy wellness kiosk at WPA Dubai offering sports nutrition and wellness consultations. Additionally, both organisations will collaborate on community outreach and CSR campaigns, including health-themed tournaments and awareness programs for Children of Determination and other key causes. Commenting on the association, Mr Rahul Kadavakolu, Group Chief Marketing Officer, Aster DM Healthcare, said,“This partnership represents a shared vision of empowering people through preventive care, fitness, and wellness. As padel rises in global recognition, including its recent inclusion in the Asian Games and growing push toward the 2032 Olympics, we see an exciting opportunity to support this momentum through science-backed health services. By combining Aster's healthcare expertise with WPA's strong community of athletes, we are creating a powerful platform to promote holistic health, injury prevention, and active living. We look forward to driving impactful initiatives that blend medical science with sports excellence” Mr. Ali Al Arif, CEO of World Padel Academy, added,“At WPA, we believe that athletic performance and personal well-being go hand in hand. Our partnership with Aster DM Healthcare reinforces our commitment to nurturing a healthier, more active community-both on and off the court. Together, we aim to redefine how sports and healthcare can work in unison to inspire positive change.” The collaboration highlights both organisations' shared commitment to innovation, community engagement, and preventive wellness, setting new standards for how sports and healthcare can collaborate to shape a healthier future.
