Sri Lanka Expresses Gratitude To France And EU For Cyclone Ditwah Relief
(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Sri Lanka's Ambassador to France, Manisha Gunasekera, met briefly with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, H.E. Jean-Noël Barrot, to convey the country's gratitude for France's emergency relief support following Cyclone Ditwah.
During the meeting, Ambassador Gunasekera also acknowledged the European Union's commitment of EUR 1.8 million to assist Sri Lanka's recovery efforts. She emphasized Sri Lanka's appreciation for the swift and generous international response to the disaster.
The exchange underscores continued cooperation between Sri Lanka, France, and the EU in providing humanitarian assistance and supporting recovery initiatives.
