NYE In UAE: 15-Minute Fireworks To Light Up 6Km RAK Coastline In Guinness Record Attempt

Ras Al Khaimah is getting ready to ring in 2026 with a record-breaking New Year's Eve celebration. The highlight will be a 15-minute fireworks show, lighting up six kilometres of coastline with one of the world's largest displays.

Aiming for a new Guinness World Record, the emirate will launch the largest single firework ever seen. The night sky will be filled with colour, light, and creativity.

More than 2,300 drones, some equipped with pyrotechnics and lasers, will create intricate formations above Marjan Island and Al Hamra before the countdown culminates in the historic launch of the record-setting firework.

This year's show is inspired by themes of strength, renewal, and Ras Al Khaimah's spirit of progress. The event will blend advanced fireworks, glowing drones, and laser effects for a unique mix of technology and art.

Two shows: 8pm & midnight

Ras Al Khaimah will hold two fireworks shows so everyone can take part in the celebrations.

  • 8pm: Corniche Al Qawasim

The early show above the Corniche is family-friendly, giving residents and visitors a chance to enjoy the festivities before the main countdown.

  • Midnight: Marjan Island & Al Hamra Bay

The main event will feature creative fireworks, large drone displays, and advanced lighting to welcome the new year in style.

Ras Al Khaimah New Year's Eve festival

The free Ras Al Khaimah New Year's Eve Festival at Al Hamra starts at 2:00 PM. There will be food trucks, carnival games, and live entertainment for all ages. This year's lineup includes acts from around the world, such as:

  • DJ BobMix, known for fusing international and Arabic hits

  • Shweta Subram, Indo-Canadian Bollywood singer

  • DJ Bia, delivering an international set to energise the crowd

There will be several parking areas around the festival, including spots for caravans and camping. Visitors should register their vehicles ahead of time at to get their assigned parking zone and important entry and exit details.
