Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) presented the Global State of Facility Management 2025 Report, based on 248 organizations from more than 20 countries. The study confirms a historic transformation in Facility Management (FM), driven by artificial intelligence, operational efficiency, and a renewed focus on the human experience.
“FM is no longer an operating cost but has become a strategic lever that drives resilience and productivit,” said Luis Ronca, COO of Work Dynamics JLL Latam. The global market will exceed USD 3 trillion in 2026, driven by integrated models and automation.
Mega trends in the sectorFour forces are reshaping corporate decisions:
. Economic and geopolitical volatility.
. Demographic changes and accelerated urbanization.
. Sustainability requirements and energy costs.
. The emergence of AI in building operations.
Three key priorities are emerging for 2026:
1. Cost efficiency81% of leaders rank this as their top priority. Companies are consolidating suppliers (58%) and adopting AI (52%).“Efficiency is no longer optional; it's structural,” explained Ana Pereira, Director of Integrated Solutions at JLL South America.
2. Operational resilience60% of organizations prioritize continuity in critical buildings such as data centers and laboratories. Cybersecurity, modernization, and energy resilience strategies are being strengthened.
3. Occupant experience84% of employees with a positive perception of the physical space are more willing to come to the office. Hospitality-like models with personalized services are emerging.
Artificial Intelligence. 28% of companies already implement AI; in organizations with more than 100,000 employees, 46%.
. 92% of the corporate real estate sector has piloted solutions or will do so this year.
