Doha, Qatar: Estoori produced a commanding display to retain the Bu Samrah Cup, the feature race of the day, a Local Thoroughbred Handicap (45–65) for 3YO+ over 1700m with 14 runners at Al Rayyan Racecourse yesterday.

The six-year-old bay, carrying the colours of Meshaal bin Ali Al-Attiyah, trained by Mohammed Balasim Al Jumaili and ridden confidently by Fayos Martin Borja, surged to victory for a second consecutive year.

Breaking well from barrier 6, Estoori raced prominently, stalking the early pace set by Nadiraha with Barkt Al Majd close behind.

Suheal Qatar ran a bold race from midfield, drawing alongside to test the champion, but Estoori responded decisively in the final 100m to win by two lengths. Suheal Qatar finished second, while Al Gamamah secured third, well behind the top two.

Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club's Head of Racing Operations Rashid Saed Adiba presented the trophies following the day's feature, capping off a competitive and entertaining meeting.

Earlier on the eight-race card, several other standout performances were recorded.

Chakib claimed a decisive maiden success in Race 1, Al Deebil broke his maiden in Race 2, and AJS Al Ruwais impressed with a dominant win in Race 3. Future Man edged out a thrilling finish in Race 4, while Azzam produced an authoritative sprint in Race 5.

Za'eer Al Shahania recorded another emphatic victory in Race 6, and Malhouf Al Mushlah overcame a slow start to win on his debut in the Arabian show horse race.

Today's action also feature a total of eight races including the thoroughbred race for the coveted Lusail Cup at Al Uqda Racecourse.
