Private Egyptian Firm Tornex Target Drones And Logistics Uavs At EDEX 2025
Participating in the fourth edition of the event, the company displayed drone models designed specifically for air defence training. These systems allow military forces to test weapons and sensors in controlled environments by providing realistic, low-cost flight simulations of hostile aircraft and missiles to improve crew readiness.
Tornex also showcased“Cargo UAVs” designed for logistics and supply transport across difficult terrain. The heavy-lift aircraft combine Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) capabilities with fixed-wing efficiency, intended for both military and commercial delivery missions.
Additionally, the company presented Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms. These systems are engineered for long-endurance missions to provide real-time data and situational awareness for tactical decision-making.
Tornex, an emerging entity in Egypt's private defence sector, stated that its expansion aligns with state efforts to enhance local defensive capabilities and rely more on national technology. The company aims to become a key regional player by developing sustainable product lines and expanding Egypt's industrial network within global defence markets.
The EDEX 2025 exhibition, running from Dec. 1-4, covers land, maritime, and air defence technologies.
