No Major Snowfall In Kashmir Valley Till Dec 15: Met

Srinagar- Kashmir is unlikely to see any major snowfall until December 15, Director Meteorological Centre Srinagar Dr Mukhtar Ahmad said on Tuesday.

He said the overall weather pattern for early December remains mostly dry, with only a few weak disturbances expected.

“There is no major snowfall till December 15. Except for a few weak disturbances, we do not expect any significant snowfall activity,” he said.

Dr Ahmad also noted that the ongoing La Niña phase continues to influence weather behaviour across the region.“La Niña is still active, but from January it will weaken. We expect it to enter a weaker phase as winter progresses,” he added.

The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has also forecast dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir on December 3 with partly to generally cloudy conditions expected from December 9 to 13.
