I am a Postdoctoral Researcher jointly based at NRF iThemba LABS and Stellenbosch University, working on AI and Data Systems in particle physics. My research focuses on developing advanced instrumentation, firmware and machine learning methods to address challenges in high-energy physics and detector systems. Alongside my work on the ATLAS experiment at CERN, I explore how AI and data-driven approaches can be applied to other closely related areas such as environmental monitoring, predictive maintenance, and nuclear science.
