Srinagar- In a major stride toward strengthening emergency and trauma care infrastructure in the region, Paras Health Srinagar recently organized an intensive emergency and trauma care workshop, bringing together over 50 emergency doctors from hospitals across Kashmir.
The initiative reaffirmed Paras Health Srinagar's commitment to building a more resilient and responsive healthcare ecosystem through continuous medical education and skill enhancement.
The workshop was led by a team of eminent medical experts, including Dr. Altaf Umer Ramzan (Vice-Chairman Neurosurgery), Dr. Muhammad Haseeb Gani, (Senior Consultant-Orthopedics), Dr. Toufeeq Ahmad Mir, (Consultant- Neurology), and Dr. Shafat Ahmed Kenu, Medical Superintendent, alongside Paras Health Srinagar's emergency department specialists.
ADVERTISEMENTOver the course of the sessions, participants underwent advanced training in trauma care protocols, emergency response coordination, injury prevention, and critical case management. Practical demonstrations and simulation-based exercises offered hands-on exposure to life-saving techniques, emphasizing patient stabilization and early intervention in high-pressure situations.
Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Murtuza Habib, Facility Director, Paras Health Srinagar, said,“Emergency care is the frontline of any health system, and preparedness is key to saving lives. At Paras Health, we are investing in building local medical capacity so that no critical patient is lost to a lack of timely intervention. This workshop is part of our long-term effort to ensure that doctors across Kashmir are equipped with the most updated trauma management protocols and can respond with precision during emergencies.”
