Srinagar ~ Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) is witnessing one of its most accelerated phases of growth, with sweeping gains in research, rankings, innovation, and outreach that have positioned it among India's top State Agricultural Universities (SAUs).

In an informal interaction followed by an extensive campus tour with media persons on Monday, Vice Chancellor Dr Nazir A. Ganaie described how SKUAST-K has transformed into an“innovation-led, technology-driven, and outcome-focused” institution despite the region's long-standing challenges.

Dr Ganaie said the university's achievements were particularly noteworthy given the constraints of Kashmir's limited landholdings, climatic limitations, and difficult socio-political environment.

Dr. Ganaie said the university's achievements were remarkable despite Kashmir's limited land, harsh climate, and challenging circumstances.

“Our journey has not been easy, yet SKUAST-K has displayed remarkable resilience and innovation,” he said, adding that the university today stands as a key engine of Kashmir's bioeconomy and knowledge ecosystem.
