Army Foils Drug Smuggling Attempt Using Balloons

Amman, Nov. 17 (Petra) -- The Eastern Military Zone successfully thwarted an attempted drug smuggling operation early Monday at its front lines and within its area of responsibility. The narcotics were being transported using balloons guided by improvised devices.
Border Guard forces, in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, detected, intercepted, and brought down the balloons and their cargo inside Jordanian territory.
The seized materials were transferred to the relevant authorities for necessary legal procedures.
