Kuwait's Namaa Charity Distributes Food Aid To Sudanese Refugees In Chad

KHARTOUM, Nov 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Namaa Charity affiliated with Social Reform Society distributed on Sunday, 1,100 full food baskets and provided fresh meat for families in need at refugee camps, supporting thousands of Sudanese fleeing Al-Fashir to Chad.
Namaa CEO Saad Al-Otaibi told KUNA that the food basket were prepared to cover a full month of needs, noting that the distributions were carried out across four large camps hosting about 140,000 people.
He stressed Namaa's commitment to implementing its projects through officially recognized institutions approved by Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure proper procedures and reliable local partnerships.
Al-Otaibi underscored that member of the relief delegation registered on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' platform, praising the ministry's efforts in facilitating the mission and ensuring the team's safety.
He also commended the Ministry of Social Affairs for its continuous support and cooperation with charitable organizations.
Al-Otaibi said the charity operates under an ongoing relief plan covering food, medical support, and urgent humanitarian projects, pointing out that needs remain vast and the humanitarian responsibility even greater.
He reaffirmed the Charity's firm stance and support to the Sudanese refugees and affected communities. (end)
