KUWAIT, Nov 16 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Health, represented by the National Health Information Center, in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), organized a training workshop for health professionals from Kuwait, the GCC countries and the Eastern Mediterranean region.
Participants joined both in person and online, with sessions running until November 19 at the Symphony Hotel.
Director of the Center Dr. Fatemah Al-Asoumi told KUNA that the workshop aligns with the Center's strategic goal of establishing a reliable electronic health information system that supports evidence-based decision-making and enables effective action based on accurate and high-quality data.
She noted that the workshop brings together physicians, WHO specialists and technical teams from the Ministry, with discussions focusing on the importance of standardizing the classification and documentation of all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Al-Asoumi praised the Ministry's continuous efforts to advance the health system, adding that WHO participants commended Kuwait's commitment to adopting the International Classification of Health Interventions.
This, they affirmed, enhances data transparency, facilitates international cooperation in health studies, and improves health planning. (end)
