Zelensky: Ukraine Announces New Agreements With Partners Including Gas Supplies
"We are not wasting a single day for Ukraine, and today we have already prepared an agreement with Greece on gas for Ukraine. This will be another source of gas supplies to secure gas import routes for the winter as much as possible. We already have agreements on financing imports, and we will cover the need for almost EUR 2 billion for gas imports to compensate for the loss of Ukrainian production due to Russian strikes," Zelensky said.
According to him, the Ukrainian government has allocated funds to finance imports, with the help of European banks – under the guarantees of the European Commission. Ukrainian banks are also helping, as is Norway, and active work is continuing with American partners. Full financing will be provided, Zelensky assured.
“We are creating broad opportunities for winter supplies. In particular, through Polish partners, and we are actively working with Azerbaijan – and we are counting on long-term contracts,” Zelensky emphasized.
According to him, a historic agreement has also been prepared with France – there will be a significant strengthening of Ukrainian combat aviation, air defense, and other defense capabilities.
