Qatarbahrain Ferry Service Now Accessible To Non-GCC Nationalities

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Travelers have a new reason to celebrate: the Qatar–Bahrain ferry service, launched on November 6, 2025, has now expanded eligibility to include non-GCC nationalities, according to updates on the MASAR app. What began as a service exclusive to GCC citizens has quickly broadened its reach, opening the route to a wider group of passengers.

A Smooth 70–80 Minute Journey
The ferry operates between Al-Ruwais Port in northern Qatar and Sa'ada Marina in Bahrain, covering roughly 65 km (35 nautical miles). Bookings are made through the MASAR app, where travellers can choose between standard and VIP vessels offering comfortable seating and hospitality for 28 and 32 passengers.

From November 7–12, the service offered two daily round-trips. It has since increased to three trips per day through November 22, with further adjustments expected depending on demand.

More Than a Ferry-A Regional Link
The Qatar–Bahrain ferry is not only a convenient new travel choice, but also an important step in enhancing connectivity across the Gulf. The project supports the GCC's broader objective of building integrated, efficient, and sustainable transport networks that bring people and countries closer together.
