Brnabić said in Kyiv on Monday, after meeting with her Ukrainian counterpart Ruslan Stefanchuk, that the Serbian and Ukrainian parliaments cooperate on many issues, and that this cooperation could become even more intensive to further strengthen partnership and friendship between the two countries.

She also said that EU integration is one of the strategic goals of both states, that Serbia fully supports Ukraine on its path to the EU, and that it will assist Kyiv.

“You can count on Serbia providing all our technical assistance and knowledge to you on that path,” she said.

Brnabić added that the Serbian parliament has a Serbia–Ukraine Friendship Group, and she hopes that its Ukrainian counterpart will visit Serbia soon.

According to her, Serbia will do everything possible - politically, technically, and at the expert level - to support Ukraine.

She noted that this aligns with Serbia's ongoing efforts to build close and friendly relations with Ukraine.

Among other things, Brnabić stressed that Presidents Aleksandar Vučić and Volodymyr Zelensky maintain excellent and regular communication, most recently speaking on November 5.

She also stated that Serbia had provided Ukraine with significant humanitarian and financial aid - more than all Western Balkan countries combined.

Brnabić mentioned that President Vučić's wife, Tamara, visits Kyiv quite often.

According to her, Ukraine is a friend of Serbia, and Belgrade highly values the fact that Ukraine respects Serbia's territorial integrity, just as Serbia respects the UN Charter and all principles of international rule of law.

Brnabić said her visit is a signal of further strengthening and intensification of cooperation between the two parliaments and the two countries, and she invited Stefanchuk to visit Serbia.

As reported by Ukrinform, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić told the German political magazine Cicero that Serbia was ready to sell ammunition to the EU in large quantities, even if it was transferred to Ukraine.
