Eight Palestinians Get Injured from Israeli Settler Violence
(MENAFN) Eight Palestinians sustained injuries during assaults carried out by illegal Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem on Sunday, according to local reports.
Members of the Al-Arara Bedouin community, located north of occupied East Jerusalem, were attacked with stones and sticks by illegal settlers, leaving seven Palestinians wounded to varying extents, as reported by the Bedouin rights organization Al-Baidar.
The aggressors also set fire to container homes, resulting in significant material damage to the residents’ property.
The organization cautioned that “the continuation of these violations poses a direct threat to the stability of the people and their presence on their lands and paves the way for forced displacement.”
In a separate incident in the Umm al-Khair village in southern Hebron, situated in the southern West Bank, another group of settlers assaulted Palestinian farmers while they were tending their land, according to information provided to a news agency by local sources.
One young Palestinian was transported to a hospital for treatment after suffering injuries to his head and face.
Since October 2023, Israeli attacks throughout the occupied West Bank have sharply increased, leading to the deaths of more than 1,069 Palestinians and injuries to 10,300 others, based on Palestinian data.
The official Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission revealed that Israeli troops and illegal settlers executed 766 assaults in October alone, targeting Palestinians, their homes, possessions, and sources of livelihood across the West Bank.
